About
As an interdisciplinary artist grounded in trumpet performance, Anne presents curated musical experiences designed to draw elements of visual art, storytelling, and dance into the recital hall. She recently debuted a solo program, Wachsenden Ringen, tracing the cycle of seasons through a collage of theatric staging, electronics, ballroom dance, original poetry, and zine artwork.
Anne has performed as an orchestral, band, solo, and chamber musician, most recently with the Eastern Music Festival Orchestra and the UW-Madison Symphony Orchestra. She has presented solos in collaboration with the St. Olaf Band and the St. Olaf Norseman Band. She was an artist-in-residence at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Summer Music Festival, where she worked with trumpet students to listen deeply, develop technically, and seek stories within their music.
Anne holds a Master of Music degree in trumpet performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as a Bachelor of Music degree in trumpet performance from St. Olaf College. She has previously studied with Jean Laurenz, Martin Hodel, Judith Saxton, Garrett Klein, and Manny Laureano.
